GOLDEN VISA IN SPAIN – PURCHASE OF PROPERTY
The residency in Spain for investors is regulated by the Law on Entrepreneurs (Law 14/2013, of September 27, on support for entrepreneurs and their internationalization). This Law establishes the requirements to obtain the so-called GOLDEN VISA.
To get this, the applicant of the GOLDEN VISA in Spain must prove compliance with the following requirements:
a) Not found irregularly in Spanish territory.
b) Being over 18 years old.
c) Lack of criminal records in Spain and in the countries where he resided during the last five years. But, only, for offenses provided for in the Spanish legal system.
d) Do not appear as rejected in the territorial space of countries with which Spain signed an agreement in this regard.
e) Having a public insurance or private health insurance arranged with an insurer authorized to operate in Spain.
f) Having enough financial resources for themselves and their family members during their period of residence in Spain.
g) Paying the fee for processing the authorization or visa.
Once the above requirements have been met, the applicant must carry out an investment in Spain, among which we highlight the purchase of a property with a value equal to or greater than 500,000 €.
Or the initial investment for a value equal to or greater than 2 million euros in Spanish public debt securities. Or for a value equal to or greater than one million euros in shares or social participations of Spanish companies, or bank deposits in Spanish financial institutions.
